Getting Organized In Every Room

Are you a pack who stuffs everything under the couch every time mother-in-law drops by? Or hopelessly overwhelmed by the growing mountain of clutter? With these simple organizing tips, you can keep your space neat without stripping it of personality. 

1. Streamline. Room by room, sort through every single item, and decide whether a.) it's necessary and b.) you really like it. If it doesn't fall into either category, into the bin it goes. Just. Let. Go. Be ruthless--will you ever display all those tacky wedding souvenirs you've amassed through the years? And when was the last time you actually read a magazine from your 1990s slash? Dispose of or donate everything that's unnecessary, so you can make more space for things you actually use.

Blistering Barnacles: The Adventures of Tintin

Blistering Barnacles! Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of the classic comic book series The Adventures of Tintin written by Belgian artist Herge, has finally hit Philippine cinemas, and unsurprisingly, considering the roster of cinematic genius' behind the film, it's a home run in almost every possible way.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson, and written by Joe Cornish, whose breakthrough directorial debut Attack the Block made waves in Hollywood this year, Edgar Wright, of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz fame, and Steven Moffat, writer and executive producer of TV's cult hit Doctor Who. With that kind of talent backing the film, it's no surprise that it's become one of the most-anticipated movies of the year.

Miss Ecuador is Miss Earth 2011

Miss Ecuador Olga Alva bested 83 other environmental beauties all over the wold and was declared Miss Earth 2011 on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the U.P. Theater in Diliman Quezon City.  

The Philippines' representative, Anthena Mae Imperial, who drew loud cheers from her kababayan, was hailed as Miss Water. Caroline Medina of Venezuela was named Miss Fire while Driely Araujo of Brazil was crowned Miss Air.

Miss Ecuador impressed judges with her answer on why education must be the priority of world leaders in promoting environmentalism.

Beckham visits abused kids in Manila

Away from fans' prying eyes, David Beckham took time out from soccer to share his experience and listen to Filipino children struggling to rebuild their broken lives. 

"It's so important to have a dream," Beckham told the former street children Friday at a UNICEF-supported shelter in a suburb of Manila, the Philippine capital where he and his teammates from the Los Angeles Galaxy are playing exhibition against the country's national team this weekend.

On the sidelines of the Galaxy's Manila trip, Beckham, who is also a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, visited the shelter for children who have been rescued from the streets. They shared tales of domestic abuse and crime--some fell victim to drugs or were abandoned by their parents.
