A team led by astronomers at the University of California, Berkley, discovered the two gigantic black holes in clusters of elliptical galaxies more than 300 million light years away, each one 10 billion times the mass of our sun.
This undated image provided by the Gemini Observatory via the journal Nature shows an artist's conception of stars moving in the central regions of a giant elliptical galaxy that harbors a super-massive black hole.
